Contracts Manager – Halifax

Introduction

Dovre Group is pleased to offer the following employment opportunity: Contracts Manager located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a permanent full-time role.

Function

  • Member of Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Implementation (build) proposal team
  • Support the drafting of contract terms and conditions, and ensuring consistency with underlying statements of work and technical specifications
  • Work closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams involved in the review of Canada’s Implementation Statement of Work
  • Work closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams involved in the development and delivery of the Implementation Proposal
  • Represent the CSC Contracts Department in internal Implementation proposal review meetings
  • Provide contractual guidance to interdisciplinary functions
  • Liaise with Legal Function on matters requiring legal interpretation and overall contract review
  • Prepare and review documentation as necessary to support the role
  • Supervise supporting staff as necessary

Requirements

  • Education Required: Post-secondary education in Business Management or Engineering based field
  • Years of Experience Required: 5-10 years commercial contracting experience
  • Experience working on complex defence contracts or related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
