Electrical Engineer – California

Working on a range of projects report to Manager Mechanical Reliability Engineering.

Key Position Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to maintenance or maintenance related projects
• Replacement of obsolete technology for which replacement parts are difficult or impossible to obtain
• Modifications to existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and compliance with OSHA requirements
• Update and archive electrical prints necessary for the documentation of projects that have gone into production
• Design electrical & electronic control and communication systems for production equipment
• Broad-based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument and electrical systems, equipment and software
• Troubleshoot electrical maintenance issues and complete appropriate documentation
• Design electrical control systems for production equipment
• Coordinate the installation of electrical equipment by contractors and plant personnel to meet scheduled completion dates
• Electrical System analysis/design/specification
• Ensures the validity of the core electrical specifications for switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors, generators, lighting, wire and cable, among others.
• Ensures the validity of the electrical project’s design for power generation (main, essential and emergency systems), power and control distribution, grounding, lighting, and area classification areas among electrical systems
