Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Instrument and Controls Engineer located in California
Function
- Provide assistance to Maintenance on maintenance related projects
- Replacement of obsolete technology for which replacement parts are difficult or impossible to obtain
- Modifications to existing controls for improved process control, reliability, safety and compliance with OSHA requirements
- Update and archive PLC programs, and operator interface software, necessary for the documentation of projects that have gone into production
- Design electrical & electronic control and communication systems for production equipment
- Broad-based, hands on knowledge and experience with various types of instrument equipment and software
- Troubleshoot instrumentation maintenance issues and complete appropriate documentation
- Design instrument and controls systems for production equipment
- Coordinate the installation of instrumentation by contractors and plant personnel to meet scheduled completion dates
- Instrument and control System analysis/design/specification
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (MS preferred)
- PE registration in California (preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience working in a refinery maintenance setting
