Instrument Discipline Lead – Trondheim


Work Location: Trondheim
Duration: As soon as possible – 02/28/2025


  • Discipline lead overseeing instrumentation, SAS, and telecom, collaborating with electrical engineers.
  • Take charge of the automation discipline in Concept studies for renewable projects in onshore petrochemical and offshore oil & gas.
  • Develop automation philosophy to the required study level.
  • Conduct layout evaluations for instruments.
  • Formulate installation and integration philosophy for instruments.
  • Evaluate suitable instruments/equipment for the concept.
  • Estimate scope and material, providing input to MTO and Master Equipment List.
  • Participate in design and safety reviews.
  • Contribute valuable input to study reports.


  • Senior engineer with a strong multidisciplinary and SEIT overview.
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations, and standards for the automation discipline.
  • Knowledge of NORSOK and relevant standards/regulations for the NCS.
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in written language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute, take responsibility, and make decisions.
  • Proactive with excellent communication skills and the capacity to mentor younger engineers.
