Maintenance work preparator E&I

We are looking for a Maintenance work preparator E&I to join Maintenance team in Rotterdam (Maasvlakte).

In your role, you will be responsible for preparing high quality work packages according to safety standards and company specifications. The overall responsibility of the department is to maintain the plant and the supporting facilities according to legal and industry standards in a cost efficient manner, amongst others:

  • Ensure legal compliance
  • Develop risk based and cost efficient preventative maintenance plans
  • Analyse of failures from maintenance management system
  • Initiate and support improvement activities

Your core activities will be: 

  • Develop high quality work package and prepare work orders in MMS, based on TOS (Technical Order Statement) defined work scope in fault report or work request
  • Planning Realistic duration time of individual tasks in work orders
  • Updating duration time of standard jobs/PM plans based on actuals
  • Preparing basic work permits based on work scope and work execution tasks
  • Ensure alignment for cross disciplinary work
  • Reserving and ordering materials and services in MMS
  • Discuss and handover work packages with foreman
  • Participation in regular (daily, weekly) maintenance planning meetings
  • Ensure proper follow-up on returning unused parts to stock
  • Upload and connect documents to equipment

You will work closely with other work preparators, the master scheduler, with PMC, Foreman and with the Supervisor to ensure that everything is according to legal and industry standards. The best combination of experiences, skills and background is 

  • At least an MBO level 4 of working and thinking
  • Preferable a MBO Mechanical Engineering education (Werktuigbouwkunde niveau 4 of hoger)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical equipment maintenance in a petrochemical environment
  • Advanced knowledge of administrative processes and MMS systems
  • Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment, seal systems and scheduling
  • Advanced knowledge of gaskets and flanged connections
  • Advanced knowledge of material
  • Communication skills on a tactical and operational level in Dutch and English
  • Teamplayer who is working together with others to a common goal
