Material Planner – Halifax, NS


Dovre Group is pleased to present the following opportunity: Material Planner. This is a Permanent full-time role located in Halifax, NS.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure material is available to meet the Production schedule
  • Plan material deliveries from warehouses to meet the Production schedule
  • Coordinate between warehouse and internal stakeholders to ensure the correct material arrives
  • Problem solve and assist in resolving issues or delays
  • Update weekly material reports
  • Attend weekly status meetings on material availability in support of the production schedule
  • Work with stakeholders in planning, supply chain, and engineering to correct errors and improve the overall process



  • Academically with a recognized university bachelor’s degree or a combination of education
  • 1-5 Years of experience in a relevant field
  • Experience with an MRP system would be an asset
  • Experience in a production environment is ideal
  • Proven ability to handle a complex fast moving environment
  • Proven experience adapting to new computer programs and systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
