Dovre Group AS was awarded a four-year frame agreement with the Ministry of Finance on Friday, March 4, 2011. The frame agreement covers project governance services, such as quality assurance of concept selection as well as management of and cost estimate evaluation for selected alternatives. The work includes independent analyses of the factors and reports presented for the decision making process by the Norwegian Government and the Norwegian Parliament.
“Dovre is proud to be reselected as a consultant to the Ministry of Finance. We look forward to continuing our professional contribution to the governance of large public projects in Norway”, says Stein Berntsen, Managing Director of the Management Consulting business.
Dovre has a long relationship with the Norwegian Ministry of Finance with the first commission with the Ministry in 2000, when Dovre undertook an independent analysis for a major railroad infrastructure project. Since then Dovre has delivered independent analyses for several of the most demanding public projects in Norway, such as the new Opera House in Oslo, O3 transportation infrastructure in Oslo, and public safety network. Dovre is supplying similar services also to industry leaders in the private sector in Norway.
“We have been doing consulting very successfully in Norway for years, and now with our new strategy we will be offering similar services in all Nordic countries. In Norway, all investment projects over 750 million NOK need to have an external, independent review, and we are one of the five companies providing that consulting service to the Ministry of Finance”, comments Ilkka Toivola, Proha’s CEO.
