Safran Software Solutions AS, part of Dovre Group’s Software division, has secured an extension to its current agreement with Statoil for the maintenance and development of Statoil’s portfolio of Safran project planning and control software.
The extension is valid until Summer 2015 and includes an option for two more years. Statoil’s software portfolio includes Safran Project, Safran Planner and Safran Web Access. These products are used in a broad range of project planning, follow-up and control applications, including Statoil’s overall activity planning for all its installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, the planning of drilling activities, as well as studies and early phase planning for new oil field development projects.
“We at Safran are very pleased by the confidence that our largest client has in us. Our cooperation with Statoil has grown steadily year by year since our first project management software implementation almost 15 years ago”, says Inge Nilsen, Operations Director at Safran.
“Close cooperation with Statoil and other key players in the Norwegian oil and gas industry has been highly beneficial for Safran”, says Juha Pennanen, Head of Dovre Group’s Software division. “Active interaction with our clients has had a strong positive impact on the continuous development of our business. We are known for listening to our clients and for the ability to respond to our clients’ product development needs. This in turn strengthens our position in the market.”
