Planning and Scheduling Lead – St. John’s

Introduction

The Cross Asset POB Planning Lead is an integral part of the Logistics team and is a specialist in schedule development, control and forecasting. The objective of this role is to strategically schedule flights and personnel to minimize transportation costs while simultaneously optimizing platform capacity and ensuring the timely execution of scheduled work scopes. 

We’re looking for a dedicated, self-starting team member with project scheduling and planning experience who will demonstrate courage of conviction in challenging the status quo and an aptitude for performing in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment. The POB Planning Lead strives for timely detection of trends and specifically deviations from the plan that could negatively impact operations

Function

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all passengers that travel offshore are compliant from a training certification and COVID-19 vaccination perspective
  • Collaborating with offshore supervision and onshore stakeholders to capture operational requirements
  • Managing and optimizing flight payloads
  • Prioritizing passengers on each flight as a means to generate payload bump lists
  • Prioritizing passengers when experiencing weather delays
  • Liaising with Service Partners and Offshore Supervision to overcome constraints pertaining to Personnel on Board (POB) (i.e. flight seats and offshore bed capacity)
  • Advises Senior Logistics Supervisor, Offshore Leadership and Asset Managers of any potential schedule issues and provides guidance on corrective action and measures to mitigate any adverse trends
  • Reviews work scope changes to evaluate detail POB schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of changes in the overall POB plan and flights
  • Coordinating with the Integrated Scheduling team to ensure that personnel reservations align with planned work; provide input on how schedule changes impact flight and personnel on board
  • Modifying regular rotation schedules in line with fluctuations in platform activity
  • Generating flight and personnel related data and KPIs as required
  • Drives and promotes capital efficiency on deployment of flights and logistics asset resources

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Bachelors of Commerce
  • 5-10 years prior oil and gas industry (Logistics) experience preferred
  • 5-10 years of Planning/Scheduling experience
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
  • Basic competence in PLS, PTS and/or DaWinci is preferred
  • Adaptability to changing priorities is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Tableau
