Project Controller – Bergen

Contract Period: 01.06.2021 – 31.12.2021

Function

• Create, maintain and monitor financial forecasting and schedule on assigned projects / project portfolios
• Provide functional guidance to the project on the financial control issues across the life cycle of the project
• Prepare weekly, bi-weekly & monthly project and portfolio financial reports, including forecast, cash flow and phasing analysis both for internal stakeholders and clients
• Monitor and optimise cash management on project level on a continuous basis
• Provide financial risk management for projects and project portfolios, including but not limited to currency risk/ exposure
• Recommend actions to improve financial progress on assigned projects / project portfolios
• Contribute to tender process and business development
• Provide guidance and quality control before issuing Bids, PO’s, VO’s and VOR’s to clients and suppliers
• Assist project with issuing PRs and following up supplier costs
• Facilitate invoicing on time in accordance with agreed contracts
• Ensure accurate and timely close-out of projects
• Ensure adherence to the contract/project administration procedures
• Establish and maintain close cooperation with project manager and across the related disciplines and other business areas
• Contribute to improvement initiatives within project execution and project control organization, hereunder challenge and support the organization towards continuous improvement
• Take initiatives and ownership regarding improvements on financial system setup and business process improvements for project control organization
• Participate in development of ERP system tools to support efficient project execution and project control organization
• Perform ad-hoc analysis when required

Requirements

• Educated to degree level, preferably finance/economics related
• At least 3 years of project control/project coordination experience
• Sound understanding of the commercial and business management aspects of projects
• Knowledge and professional experience in understanding, developing, applying and maintaining efficient financial processes
• Solid understanding of working within ERP systems – knowledge of IFS an advantage
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft business packages including Excel and Power Point.
