Senior Buyer – Trondheim

Function

Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the activities of the procurement package team, ensuring adherence to project goals, procedures, and work instructions.
Oversee the deliverables of assigned Procurement Packages, ensuring timely completion and quality.
Develop and maintain procurement strategies, plans, and budgets.
Conduct supplier pre-qualification, prepare inquiries, evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, issue purchase orders, and monitor equipment and documentation deliveries.
Handle changes, warranties, invoice verification, and project closure efficiently.
Foster open communication and collaboration with engineering and integration teams.
Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the contract terms and detailed knowledge of technical and commercial scopes for assigned Procurement Packages.
Provide regular project reports to the Procurement Manager, detailing progress, status, schedule, costs, and identified risks and opportunities.

Requirements

Experience required
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience as a buyer.
Good understanding of contract management and project coordination.
Fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MIPS, and Time management software.
Strong negotiation skills, combining business knowledge with technical insight.
Methodical problem-solving abilities.
High integrity, ethical values, and proactive work approach.
Excellent team player, promoting effective collaboration.
