Senior Engineer Electrical System – Oslo


Work Location: Oslo
Duration: 01.06.2021 – 31.12.2021


We are looking for a skilled electrical system engineer to work in a large EPC offshore project.

The right candidate will join a major new build project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within electrical system.

  • Electrical design and follow-up for an Oil and Gas topside project
  • Design and follow-up electrical systems for platforms and field engineering responsibility
  • Follow-up and update electrical philosophies, topologies, single line diagrams, load list, PMS/PDCS design and system descriptions to the required level according to client requirements
  • Produce and verify software test procedure for switch gear testing
  • Responsible for creating and issue switch gear testing reports
  • Participate in IEC61850 network testing
  • Participate in switch gear software testing (test lab. Porsgrunn and France – Lyon)
  • Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers
  • Interface with other disciplines, contractors and client
  • In cooperation client and contractors ensure field engineering standardization and coherent integration and design between offshore Platforms, onshore station, onshore Operation Centre


Required Education:

  • Education Bachelor degree
  • Ex course
  • FSE course

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience from greenfield offshore oil&gas or offshore projects
  • Minimum 4 years’ Experience from electrical high and low voltage from Detail or FEED phase projects
  • Experience and deep knowledge from arranging and follow up switch gear software testing
  • Experience and deep knowledge of electrical and cable design and installation according to relevant standards such as NORSOK and IEC
  • Detail knowledge of Equinor technical requirements (TRs)
