Senior Purchaser – Oslo

Function

To succeed as Senior Purchaser you have at least 5 working years’ experience in a project setting. You have worked in companies that are project driven, and have activities related to purchasing and tenders projects. You have experience working domestically or internationally and in a multicultural setting. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety during the projects. You have experience preparing and managing procurement plans, defining purchasing strategies, negotiating and following up contracts. Good communication skills is essential to ensure good information flow across different disciplines and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Engineering , Business or Supply Chain or extensive experience with large marine operations subcontracts and eager to learn the purchasing part

  • 5 years working in a project setting.

  • Must have: Project Purchasing EPCI experience

  • 3 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience

  • In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are proactive and eager to learn and improve.

  • In Nexans we work in teams and are driven by project execution therefore being able to communicate effectively and having strong collaboration skills is of upmost importance.

  • Fluent in English, – oral and written, Norwegian is a plus.
