Senior Supply Chain Specialist – AOPS – Halifax, NS


Dovre Group is pleased to present the following opportunity: Senior Supply Chain Specialist – AOPS located in Halifax, NS. This is a permanent full-time role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand program milestones
  • Develop plans to address production material needs
  • Communicate risks to internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate cross departmental planning
  • Interact and problem solve with suppliers
  • Investigate and address emergent material requirements
  • Develop and execute Supply Chain metrics
  • Post-delivery support and warranty
  • Execute all procurement activity required for warranty claims
  • Enforce supplier warranties for part replacements/repairs

Pre-contract activity from time to time including:

  • Program wide stakeholder engagement to identify requirement
  • Supplier Qualification (PQQ), tender process, RFI, RFP, RFP with vendors
  • Contract negotiation and to agree robust commercial agreements for ISI and the client

Subcontractor representative support including:

  • Develop and improve supplier quality, cost, and delivery performance
  • Develop Subcontractor representative support schedule
  • Ensure suppliers are cleared for onsite work including safety and security compliance
  • Coordinate sea trials crewing and representation

Contract management including:

  • Execution of negotiated contract through ISI’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) & MRP (Material Resource Planning) systems

Continuous improvement including:

  • Support new product introduction activities
  • Apply the principles of continuous improvement to the design and development of supply chain processes
  • Undertake cost analysis for direct material and services
  • Issue POs for material



  • Education Required: University Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a procurement, supply chain or engineering function
  • Procurement/Supply Chain accreditation: SCMP, MCIPS or ISM would be an asset
  • Project Management experience would be an asset
  • Defence experience would be an asset
  • Proven commercial skillset
  • Demonstrable results focused
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous exposure to market analytics and insights
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
