Specialist Mechanical and Process Engineers for Green Solutions – Stavanger

Dovre Group is now looking for front end engineers to take a leading role in the energy transition working with decarbonization solutions of oil and gas as well as new and sustainable energy solutions. Candidates will specialize in early phase engineering and will be driving new business initiatives across all project phases within renewables, hydrogen solutions and oil & gas, ranging from feasibility to project completion, commissioning and operation.


  • Execute, lead, manage and monitor all work and activities in relevant discipline.
  • Ensure the development of new technology and sustainable solutions in discipline.
  • Ensure execution of studies is organized and handled according to internal and external requirements.
  • Proactively manage the studies to mitigate uncertainty and risk, define opportunities, and to deliver on agreed time and budget.
  • Interface and communicate well with client to support project targets, also reinforcing company market position.
  • Participate in the evaluation of competence requirement and manning in relevant discipline.
  • Manage and develop project members into a functionally efficient and coordinated team.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for further business development with Client.

  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with all stakeholders (Client, Company, partners, subcontractors, and others).


  • Master/bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Process/Electrical degree).
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of Early Phase / Front End and execution engineering, cost and schedule.
  • Updated knowledge about relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Able to manage projects/studies including schedule, budget and QA.
  • Write and check technical reports and specifications.
  • Interest and knowledge within hydrogen technology and preferable interfacing segments (ammonia, CCS, offshore wind, power grids, fuel cells, etc.).

  • Capacity of managing, motivating and mentoring professional engineers.
  • Capacity to understand complex technical problems and work collaboratively to identify practical and technically sound solutions.
  • Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies.
  • Comfortable working in a continuous changing environment – strong ability to work independently.
  • Awareness of clients’ needs – develop and implement solutions.
  • Good communicator both written and verbal.
