Supply Chain Security Specialist – CSC – Halifax, NS


Dovre Group is pleased to present the following opportunity: Supply Chain Security Specialist – CSC. This is a full-time role located in Halifax, NS.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and other materials in support of supply chain management activities
  • Execute analysis and evaluation of supply chain security considerations, risks, issues, and mitigations
  • Assess the impact of findings in reports, in terms of security risk, impacts to operations, quality and cost
  • Interface with Supply Chain, Design for Build teams, and others to ensure Supply Chain processes align with and influence procurement and production processes
  • Interface with the Quality Management team to support the Quality objectives of the project
  • Provide recommendations with respect to the identification, assessment, and automation of data collection in the context of continuous improvement and monitoring


Required Qualifications:

  • Academically qualified with a recognized university bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Math, Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent
  • 3 Years or more experience in Supply Chain Security
  • Problem solving skills and ability to lead and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Security experience on large-scale complex defense programs
  • Knowledge and experience in the following areas:
  • Systems Engineering
  • Security Management
  • Systems Security Engineering
  • Principles of Security Inspection
  • Security Risk Assessment
  • Process Management / Assurance
  • Quality Management
  • Manufacturing and Construction Processes
  • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and/or Co-ordination
  • Threat and Risk Assessment (i.e. HTRA, NIST 800-30 etc.)
  • Security system design (i.e. physical protection systems, network security, ITSEC etc.)
  • Additional post-secondary education in Security Management
  • Security certification as a Professional Certified Investigator (CPI)
  • Certification in Quality Management
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
