E& I inspector – Dubai

Introduction

Role Summary 

Provide oversight and surveillance of E&I activities in site during scheduled and  unscheduled inspection assuring that client policy and procedures regarding  installation and quality are implemented throughout the project.Shall report  directly to E&I Lead 


Function

Accountabilities 

  • Ensure that all Electrical construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are  instructed in and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security 
  • (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and  Client requirement
  • Attend all necessary inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and  Test Plan (ITP).
  • Ensure testing and test results of examinations are in compliance with company  requirements (procedures, specification and standards).
  • Inspect the production quality to establish if the client requirements are being  achieved
  • Record and document any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program.
  • Liaison between client and contractors.
  • Prepare reports and submit as required.
  • Coordinate with client/contractor representatives to ensure that inspections are  carried out expediently.
  • Asure that Requests For Inspection (RFI) are issued providing sufficient notice for  Hold, Witness and Inspection points.
  • Continually carry out surveillance inspections on the project recording and  documenting any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program.
  • Review the calibration status of any test equipment being utilized on the project  ensuring the equipment is within calibration prior to use.
  • Provide support and advice to the construction personnel in relation to the Project  Quality Program.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all Client and Contractor personnel.
  • Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports,  surveillance reports, etc.
  • Review and monitor documentation and provide feedback.
  • Maintain willingness to learn and support the Inspector providing the on the job  training.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Up to 10 years proven Oil and Gas experience preferably in FPSO type environment.
  • Recent experience of working on similar role.
  • ATEX certification prefered
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience in related field.
  • English – fluent written and verbal skills
