Telecom Senior Engineer oil and gas – Asker

Function
We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work as a discipline lead in a study for detail engineering in an offshore greenfield / brownfield project within the telecom discipline.
The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment. The study will if approved continue into an EPC project.
Typical tasks:
– Telecom lead and responsible for Telecom deliverables in study
– Participating in development of telecom design solutions for telecom sub systems, remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies to required level in a study.
– Follow up telecom vendors.
– Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
– Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for the Telecom discipline
– Define engineering documents.
Requirements
Required Education:
– Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
– Ex course (max 5 years old)
– FSE course
Required Work Experience:
– Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
– Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
– Experience from Telecom system design in Study phases or FEED or other relevant experience.
– Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.

– Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English – Both orally and in writing
– Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
– A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
– Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
– Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
– Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
– Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
– Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
