Telecom Senior Engineer wind – Asker

Function
We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.
The right candidate will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.
Typical tasks:
– Define and specify design solutions for required telecom sub systems.
– Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
– Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
– Develop engineering documents and update data registers.
– Participate in relevant test activities, workshops and reviews.
– Site support to fabrication yard
Requirements
Required Education:
– Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
– Ex course FSE course
Required Work Experience:
– Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
– Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
– Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.

– Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English – Both orally and in writing
– Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
– A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
– Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
– Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
– Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
– Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
– Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
